Amir Giles
Amir Giles joined Slanjayvah Danza in January 2010 for "Crazy Joanna" bring with him his extensive knowlege of the grace and styles of the Argentine Tango.

Since graduating from Rambert in 2005 Amir combined various contemporary dance contracts with the study, choreography and performance of several social partner
dance forms. With over 5 visits to Buenos Aires he has spent close to a year immersed
in the culture, music and dance of Argentine Tango, involving training with a new generation of incredibly inventive and innovative dancers.
Amir has performed as a Dance Artist for the Royal Opera and English National Opera in choreographies by Sally Potter, Pablo Veron and Kate Flatt.
In 2006 he choreographed a solo for the band ‘Left with Pictures', and recently a tango choreography for the Channel Four advert for the Film Four Argentine Film Festival. He has danced tango for the Princess Royal, and collaborated in choreography with Nicole Cutler.
A well travelled dancer and recognised teacher fro the US to Europe, his interests have been to study the various forms of swing dancing, from the vintage jazz dance of 1920s Harlem to modern variations like West Coast Swing.
