Dani Ferreira

Dani joined Slanjayvah Danza in 2008 for the production of  "Hybrid".  Having maintained continuous contact with the company through professional class, Co-lab and as an outreach educational worker, she returns into her performance role as the lead dancer, portraying Joanna in the new work  "Crazy Joanna".

As a Royal Ballet Senior Associate she attended classes with Marion Tate at BRB and workshops with ENB, Phoenix, BRB, NBT and Dance Theatre of Harlem. Dani gained one of the first apprenticeships offered by Phoenix Dance Theatre under Darshan Singh Bhuller, performing works by Didy Veldman and Robert Cohen on tour with the company.

Dani has since worked with an array of recognised choreographers and companies including:  Darshan Singh Bhuller, Didi Veldman and Robert Cohan, Kamus Suna Ballet Company, Ascendance Dance Company and Sharon Watson's Dancing with the Rhino's.

Daniela currently works as a freelance dance teacher for both Ascendance Rep and Slanjayvah Danza.  In the past she has also contributed to dance education work with Balbir Singh Dance Company and Phoenix Dance Theatre.

Dani's interests are complimentary to the choreographic works of Jenni Wren and Slanjayvah Danza through her experience in working with dance and the moving image, emotional intelligence and latin interests.
