The Company Name

The Company name causes some giggly tongue twisting disasters! So, we thought we’d help out with the pronunciation!

Flamenco - 52 CardsSlanjayvah Danza derives from the Scottish and Spanish influences of Jenni Wren.

“Slainte Mhor” the correct and original spelling of “Slanjayvah”, in the old Scottish Celtic language, signifies variety of good wishes such as:

Here’s to life! All the best! Cheers! To good health!

However, due to the original Scottish Gaelic spelling, we changed the first part of the name to a phonetic pronunciaion.

Pronunciation: Slan-jay-vah (with an emphasis on the “ah” part and as all one word).

“Danza” is quite simply “Dance”, in Spanish. However, since the Spanish z is often pronounced as our “th” (mostly in Andalucia), Danza, is pronounced as Danth-ah.
