Marcus joined the Slanjayvah Danza team in 2010 during the Crazy Joanna project.

Originally trained in civil engineering, he is now the proprietor of MJR Theatre Services, covering most aspects of production for theatre, dance, live music, festivals and other performing arts companies and venues. 

With a diverse career, Marcus has worked as Production Manager, Lighting Designer, Stage Manager, Set Designer, Set Builder, Sound Engineer or Touring Stage Manager for a number of companies, venues and events, including Red Ladder Theatre Co., Opera North, West Yorkshire Playhouse, RJC Dance, Slanjayvah Danza, Strangeface, Leeds City Varieties, Urban Angels Circus, Phoenix Dance, Leeds City Council, Leeds Met Studio, Unlimited Theatre, Artsmix, etc. 

He has advised on the design and equipping of several venues, including most recently Seven Arts, Leeds, where he is the official Technical Manager.
