July 2004 saw the premier of one of Slanjayvah Danza’s first mid-scale productions;  "¿Entiendes?", an experimental collaboration blending dance, theatre, music, poetry, Spanish language and sign language to explore the nuances of communication and intention.

With philosophical underpinnings, "¿Entiendes?" brings the work of Jeung, Socrates and Plato into the physical realm, using the body to reach a shared experience of reality and examining what it takes to achieve true understanding between two or more people.

Our partners and stakeholders for ¿Entiendes?", to whom we are forever grateful, were: Arts Council England, Yorkshire Dance, Madrid Conservatoire of Dance, Community Firefighters (Madrid).

“Slanjayvah Danza presented a spectacular composition.”

El Embrujo, Madrid.
