Commissioned for Leeds Tempe Works’ ‘Fire walk with me’, The Red Room celebrates 20 years of Twin Peaks and is a homage to the surrealism, dream logic, and dark psychological drama that has been synonymous with film-maker David Lynch.
In this site-specific work, Wren collaborates with live artist and performer Adam Young to combine the mundane with the bizarre and to explore themes of the subconscious and the darkness that is hidden beneath the everyday.
Our partners and stakeholders for The Red Room, to whom we are forever grateful, were: Seven Arts Centre, Leeds Temple Works, Live Art Bistro and Arts Council England.
Venue/Event Information
In the summer of 2010 the Atmospheric Grade 1 Listed Temple Works Leeds was transformed into Twin Peaks to host Fire Walk With Me, a large-scale, immersiveTwin Peaks-themed fundraiser celebrating the 20th anniversary of the cult TV series. The one-night only event featured numerous tribute acts, including The Red Room.
